Art Department
The Art and Design department currently consists of four members of staff, 3 full time and one part time.
We teach a wide range of art related disciplines to pupils in years 7, 8 and 9 including, drawing, painting, collage printmaking, graphic posters work, computer aided design, relief work and 3D construction.
At KS4, students who opt to take Art at GCSE level follow one of the courses offered
ART is a general art course studying the work of a variety of artists and styles and producing both 2D and 3D artwork, painting, drawing
,design sheets, £D sculptures, pottery and collage work
GRAPHIC DESIGN which entails students providing posters, advertising projects, 3D packages, computer aided designs to specific briefs.
GCSE Art courses culminate in a 10 hour controlled test and an exhibition of coursework, which is assessed by the art staff as well as an external moderator.
