Headteachers through the decades!
Tommy Griffiths was Headteacher from 1952 - 1965. Tommy had come to Stockport in the 1930s to play football for Stockport County. He was a mercurial Welshman of great charm, and also a very keen Stockport County Supporter.

Harold Peters was Headteacher from 1965 - 1978. Harold was a quiet, persuasive man of great presence, steeped in educational and management theory.

Reg Denning was Headteacher from 1979-1992. Reg was an extremely popular man who brought great warmth to the school. He was responsible for introducing many changes. He was a rugby union man who supported Warrington.

Peggy Rowe was Headteacher from 1992-1998. Peggy was responsible for moving the school into Technology College status, and led it through two very successful Ofsted inspections. Peggy was an ardent supporter of the arts, and was a great rugby union fan, supporting Lymn.

John Thompson was Headteacher from 1999-2005. John started his career at Reddish Vale in the biology department, and has given over 30 years of service to the college as Head of Science, Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher. He is an extremely keen sportsman who supports Oldham, and has given a great deal of his time to football and cricket within Stockport.
