Extra curricular activities, after college clubs, sport and holiday activities
There are many opportunities for students to develop their skills and interests in a range of activities at lunchtimes and after college and during the holidays through the Extended School Activites
We have excellent sports facilities and can offer students a comprehensive range of sports. The college is the site for the North West Basketball Regional Centre and we are fortunate to have use of this facility of three basketball courts, we also have a new Astro Turf Pitch, and refurbished Tennis Courts
We have a purpose built performance arts block which includes two drama studios and music rooms which include the very latest facilities for using technology in music. These facilities are open to students at lunchtime and after college closes.
Students can take part in musical and drama productions, as well as college teams. Our teams compete successfully across Stockport, the North West and nationally.
We have a Film and Edit Suite where students can join the News Team and take part in many competitions, they can learn skills in camera techniques, Directing, Script Writing and Editng.
Many students give up their spare time to work on our school farm.
Every year students take part in holidays and visits around Europe. For example, we have been running a successful skiing holiday for many years, and Food Technology students have the chance to go on an exciting food and cookery visit to Italy.
