Coronavirus Vaccinations for 12-15 year olds

Letters have been sent home with pupils regarding Coronavirus Vaccinations in school. Vaccinations will be offered to 12-15 Year olds in school on Wednesday 20th October and Thursday 21st October 2021, the vaccinations will be administered by the NHS School Nursing Team. Full information and consent forms have been given to pupils to take home and share with parents/carers. Consent forms must be returned to school by Wednesday  13th October at the latest, indicating whether parents/carers consent or do not consent to their child receiving the vaccination. Please note that no vaccination will be given if parents/carers do not consent even if the pupil requests the vaccination. Under these circumstances a health professional will make contact with parents/carers.

Plase be aware that the vaccination is only for pupils aged 12 plus on the date of the vaccination, therefore some Year 7 pupils will not be eligible for the vaccination this time. Pupils who are aged 16 plus can book a COVID Vaccination appointment via the NHS website for an appointment at a vaccination centre or pharmacy.

Further information can be found on the NHS website or you can call 0161 474 5912
