We were successfully awarded the Wellbeing Award following our external verification visit at the end of March.
The award provides formal recognition that a school has met very high standards of provision for emotional wellbeing and mental health. It provides schools with a rigorous framework for implementing a range of strategies to bring about positive change for the wellbeing and mental health of the whole school.
Please find the full report below.
Dear Parent/Carer
Your child will be sitting their end of year exams in the coming weeks at Reddish Vale High School. Ahead of our exams, I would like to take this opportunity to write to you to outline our plans for how this will be carried out. Pupils will complete assessments in lesson, or if they’re in Year 10, in the exam hall, based on content they’ve been learning this year and beyond.
Next week, we will be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in school.
There are a variety of activities on offer for pupils to get involved in, including a cake decorating competition for Y7 and 8 pupils, and a flag design competition.
We will also be hosting a bake sale and Jubilee themed lunch on Wednesday 25th May to celebrate the event.
More details can be found on the flyer below.
Please see below a letter regarding the recent fire alarm and use of social media.
Parents and Carers who have been in the UK for less than 3 years are welcome to sign up for free English speaking lessons through Stockport Council.
Please see the leaflet below for more information, or alternatively, you can visit the ESOL website here
On 3rd-6th May, The Pendlebury Centre students, staff and newly formed PTFA are holding a fundraising event to buy a Centre minibus. During the 4 days, students and their families/carers will be cycling the distance equivalent to that of travelling to DisneyLand Paris (507 miles) on two static fitness bikes.
There is a GoFundMe page set up for anybody who wishes to donate to the fundraiser and you can access this here
