  • Year 8 and 9 Full Return to School

    Published 23/09/20

    Dear Parents/ Carers

As we settle into our new routines and systems for a safe return to school I would like once again to praise the pupils for their cooperation and patience. It is largely down to their mature attitudes and sensible behaviour that we are able to review the model and move to the second phase of our planned return to school plan by moving the school start time to 9:00am for Year 8 & 9 from Monday 28th September. Arrangements for Year 7, 10 & 11 pupils remain the same. All being well, we intend to replace the remote learning lesson currently in operation, for Year 8 & 9, during period 1 with your child’s timetabled lesson in school. They will continue to have staggered breaks and lunchtimes and their form time will remain at the end of the day finishing at 3:00pm in order for us to safely manage movement around school and limit crossover of bubbles. • Welcome Back!

    Published 04/09/20

    Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to let you know how delighted I am to be able to welcome back our pupils after 14 weeks of missed schooling during lockdown. It was great to meet our new Year 7 cohort this morning and I was proud to see how smartly they were wearing our uniform. Our older students, who joined us later in the week arrived keen to begin formal learning, once again and I could not be more pleased with the mature and sensible way in which they quickly adapted to our new systems and rules to keep everyone Covid secure. Thank you so much for helping your child prepare so well for day one, it would not have gone so well without your help. Our attendance was high, however there is room for improvement, this will be so important as we work together to make up the time lost.
