There are steps that you can take to stay safe against strangers when out and about. Below, there is some useful information provided by Stockport Council and including a guide from the NSPCC.
School reopens on Monday 10th January with a staggered return throughout the day to accommodate lateral flow testing for consenting pupils. The planned schedule is included below. Lessons will resume as normal from Tuesday 11th January on a blue week.
Christmas Dinner will be served on Friday 17th December. There will be a vegetarian alternative available. Please see the flyer below for more information.
On 6th December 2021, year 9 pupils enjoyed a trip to Chester Zoo with the science department, where they saw and learnt interesting facts about a variety of different animals including elephants, giraffes, lions and jaguars.
The pupils were exceptionally well-behaved and engaged throughout the trip and were a real credit to the school.
The thoughts and prayers of all of us here at Reddish Vale High School are with the family and friends of Jack Booth. Jack is remembered fondly by us all and is a huge loss to this world.

I am writing to let you know that the government guidance for schools on managing Coronavirus has changed. This reflects recent concerns about the new Omicron variant. The guidance may be found here
The Mosaic Family Team would like to offer parents and carers of high school children the opportunity to join a brief virtual workshop focused on opening up communication with your teenager about drugs and/or alcohol.
On 17th November 2021, pupils enjoyed a trip to the Peoples History Museum and MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry), where they learnt about the Industrial Revolution and how Unions were formed in democratic Britain in the 1800s. Pupils also investigated the Peterloo Massacre of 1819, gaining an understanding about revolutionaries, reformers, workers etc. that influenced change.
In the MOSI, pupils were very engaged in the interactive science activities and games that were on display, as well as a scheduled display of the textile machines that were operational in a presentation of its then cutting-edge technology.
During November and December, there is an opportunity for 12-15 year olds to receive the Covid-19 vaccination, if your child did not receive the vaccination in school. Please see the letter below for more information on these additional vaccination opportunities.
