The Careers team is continually implementing exciting career and enterprise opportunities extra to what is outlined. These may be in school or with external agencies providing a wide range of chances for pupils at RVHS.

Provider Access Legislation

Provider Access Legislation is in place to ensure that students learn about academic and technical pathways, including apprenticeships, T-Levels, and Higher Technical Qualifications, directly from providers. The new Provider Access Legislation (effective January 2023) requires that schools offer all students a minimum of six encounters with approved education and training providers (like T-Level, apprenticeshipHigher Technical Qualification) across key school years to broaden understanding of technical routes. At RVHS, providers will be invited to attend our careers events and engage in our careers programme overall – to meet with students directly and advise on pathway options including training, apprenticeships and technical education.  We will enable encounters to take place during the school day with a range of Higher Education, Further Education, Sixth Form, Apprenticeship and Training Providers.  Providers can contact the Careers Lead, Mrs Morrison, directly at c.morrison@reddish.stockport.sch.uk with any queries.
