LGBTQ+ Inclusion Support

LGBTQ+ Inclusion Support

Hello, my name is Miss Ratcliffe, and I am the LGBTQ+ Lead here at Reddish Vale High School.

Here at Reddish Vale we believe every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and able to be themselves. As the LGBT+ Lead, my role is to support students, families, and staff in creating an environment where everyone is treated with respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or family background.

We are committed to celebrating diversity, challenging discrimination, and ensuring that all young people can learn and grow in a community that supports who they are.

Whether you need advice, a listening ear, or guidance on how we can make our school even more inclusive, I am here to help.

Together, we will continue building a school where everyone can thrive and be proud,

If you have any questions or need support, please feel free to get in touch by emailing me at c.ratcliffe@reddish.stockport.sch.uk

Rainbow Flag Award

We are proud to be working towards the Rainbow Flag Award.

The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality assurance framework for primary schools, secondary schools, SEND schools and colleges. The award focuses on positive LGBT+, (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, plus other related identities), inclusion and visibility.

The Rainbow Flag Award encourages a whole organisation approach to LGBTQ+ inclusion, as well as developing strategies to effectively challenge and combat LGBTphobic bullying.

Prisms

Prisms is our LGBTQ+ support and friendship group that meets every Tuesday lunch time in the library with Miss Ratcliffe.
