Vision and Values
The aspirational vision is one of 'Positively Changing Lives', recognising that school and education should be focused on developing every individual pupil as a confident, articulate, well-mannered and resilient young person ready to make a positive contribution to the community, in addition to the pursuit of academic excellence, through outstanding pupil progress.
This vision is underpinned through our core values of Respect, Aspiration, Determination and Independence.
Respect: Pupils follow the four pillars of respect; self-respect, respect for peers, respect for adults and respect for the environment.
Aspiration: Pupils are encouraged to aim high, be proud, lead by example and get involved. "Be the best you can be."
Determination: Pupils are encouraged to show commitment, determination and resilience adopting a "can do" attitude even when faced with difficult challenges.
Independence: Pupils are equipped with the skills to make the right choices, decisions and actions on their own in preparation for employability. "Independence isn't doing your own thing, it's doing the right thing on your own."
